Baldness: take Generic Propecia to treat the problem

Everyone loses scalp hair known as alopecia. Baldness is excessive loss of hair from your scalp. It can result from heredity, a medical condition or even medicine. The commonest type of baldness is called androgenetic alopecia. It is responsible for around 95% of the cases of baldness in the United States of America. Males suffer from androgenetic alopecia far more frequently than females. Two factors impacts upon hair growth: a genetic predisposition and the male hormone testosterone. Commonly, an enzyme in hair follicles converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) that stimulates the growth of body and beard hair, but also diminishes hair follicles on the scalp, causing finer, fuzzier growth. A genetic predisposition, along with higher levels of testosterone and DHT, may badly affect scalp hair growth. Baldness occurs when the rate of hair shedding is bigger than the rate of re-growth or when the re-growth is thinner and/or shorter than the hair that is lost. Androgenetic alopecia is not a medical disorder; it is more a cosmetic problem. One of the most effective methods of treatment sanctioned by FDA is Finasteride (Propecia). Taken once a day in a tablet form, Propecia deteriorates the conversion of testosterone to DHT, thus preventing the diminishing of hair follicles. Propecia is for men ONLY and must not be taken by females, as it can bring on birth deformities. GENERIC PROPECIA, which is as effective in treating alopecia as the brand name version, is low-priced and, consequently, can be bought by a larger number of males suffering from undue hair loss. As a result of a two-year study 83% of men aged 18 - 41 with mild to moderate have maintained their hair. Most men reported improvement in appearance. Like all prescription medications, Generic Propecia may cause side effects. In clinical studies, side effects from Generic Propecia were infrequent and did not affect most men. An insignificant number of men reported some sexual adverse side effects, such as less desire for sex, difficulty in achieving an erection and a decreased amount of semen. These adverse side effects were temporary and went away in males who stopped taking Generic Propecia. These adverse side effects also disappeared in most men (58%) who continued taking Generic Propecia.
